Surfrjag Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 How the hell did u do that? You need to split the cases and replace all seals Quote
02banshnyoda Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Posted January 5, 2015 Very carefully, lol. It wasn't hard, just had to make sure the correct side was in towards the crank, and went into the groove in the cases. Cheap and quick. Lasted for a while I guess, unless the stator side went out, havnt checked that one yet, lol. Quote
sleeper06 Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 That's why I asked, next is why did seal blow , is bearing chewing it? Crank wobble etc Quote
02banshnyoda Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Posted January 5, 2015 When I first looked the seal it looked fine until I noticed the inside(crank side) tension spring around crank was not on, just floating in between seal and main bearing. Main bearing looked fine. Quote
sleeper06 Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 My advise would be pressure test b4 u turn a wrench , have crank checked by a professional not visual inspection , runout, true. If it ruined that same seal again there's a clue Quote
trickedcarbine Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 But I looked at it, plus I did it all correctly.... Quote
