Banshee exhaust rattle ?

Had the shee out today and was running great for about 3 hours , riding on and off. In the afternoon I had gotten stuck at the top of a hill climb, after getting it turned around I shut it off, and then I couldn't get it to start, let it sit for about 10 min and it fired right up, but was making a noticeable rattle that sounded like it was coming from the left pipe. I checked all bolts and all was tight and no leaks. The shee ran perfect all day, starting on first kick every time. Both plugs seemed good like they were. Any ideas on were to start diagnoses?

Crank bearings.

Before splitting the cases to check crank bearings, anything other symptoms that would point to crank bearings or do you think crank bearings for sure?

If you think it's coming from the left side, pull the stator cover off and check the flywheel. Just make sure it's tight.

 

Bike can run all day or intermittently with a loose flywheel. That's where I would start.

Orings in the pipes? Silencer cores?

Orings new and just repacked silencers

Did you check the flywheel?

if the flywheel is loose, wouldn't hurt to lap it to crank before re-install

Sorry for the worst case scenario. It's just that guys claim they checked all the simple stuff we'll sit here and reccomend for the next 3 days. So I figured fuck it, get balls deep. If it's something else, you should find it taking it apart.

It's all good, I now know where to start looking to get it running right.

Fly wheel is tight. Going to start the break down Wednesday to split the cases and see if it needs a crank.
