ryguy27 Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Had the shee out today and was running great for about 3 hours , riding on and off. In the afternoon I had gotten stuck at the top of a hill climb, after getting it turned around I shut it off, and then I couldn't get it to start, let it sit for about 10 min and it fired right up, but was making a noticeable rattle that sounded like it was coming from the left pipe. I checked all bolts and all was tight and no leaks. The shee ran perfect all day, starting on first kick every time. Both plugs seemed good like they were. Any ideas on were to start diagnoses? Quote
ryguy27 Posted December 1, 2014 Author Report Posted December 1, 2014 Before splitting the cases to check crank bearings, anything other symptoms that would point to crank bearings or do you think crank bearings for sure? Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 If you think it's coming from the left side, pull the stator cover off and check the flywheel. Just make sure it's tight. Bike can run all day or intermittently with a loose flywheel. That's where I would start. Quote
sheerider11 Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 Orings in the pipes? Silencer cores? Quote
ryguy27 Posted December 1, 2014 Author Report Posted December 1, 2014 Orings new and just repacked silencers Quote
ryguy27 Posted December 1, 2014 Author Report Posted December 1, 2014 Really bummed , literally first decent ride since I bought it in October. Already issues! Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 Did you check the flywheel? Quote
Larry's Shee Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 if the flywheel is loose, wouldn't hurt to lap it to crank before re-install Quote
ryguy27 Posted December 1, 2014 Author Report Posted December 1, 2014 I will check the fly wheel! Quote
trickedcarbine Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 Sorry for the worst case scenario. It's just that guys claim they checked all the simple stuff we'll sit here and reccomend for the next 3 days. So I figured fuck it, get balls deep. If it's something else, you should find it taking it apart. Quote
ryguy27 Posted December 2, 2014 Author Report Posted December 2, 2014 It's all good, I now know where to start looking to get it running right. Quote
ryguy27 Posted December 9, 2014 Author Report Posted December 9, 2014 Fly wheel is tight. Going to start the break down Wednesday to split the cases and see if it needs a crank. Quote
