gasmask34 Posted October 21, 2014 Author Report Posted October 21, 2014 Indeed. Called a 4 sponcers on here an only one smooth bore carbs. However K&T $30.00 per carb, A&S $40.00 per carb and Twister $50.00 per carb.... posted for future reference... Quote
RadarRacing Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Awesome. I know KT does em right , they are pretty popular on their cubs. Seen alot of 38mm mikunis they do up to like 40.5mm. $30 from a legit company is good. Quote
BANSHEEBEEFM2M Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 how much of a gain could you get by boring the carbs? for an alky bike. whats the difference between a smooth bore and a taper bore? Quote
trickedcarbine Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 how much of a gain could you get by boring the carbs? for an alky bike. whats the difference between a smooth bore and a taper bore?Depending on the carb it's about like moving to a carb 2-3mm larger with out the actual cost of new carbs. Taper bore starts off larger then funnels down smaller. Not quite the same open area capability as a straight bore, but the theory is to get more air then a current carb flows, as well as keep the velocity. Quote
