Do you have to repack toomey t5s?

Can you run them with out repacking? Does it affect performance wise?

You can run them without packing, but they will sound like shit. Also your bike will lose bottom end, they are meant to run with packing. Do so.

I find that mine has much more bottom end with fresh packing. When it won't wheelie easily, time to repack.

Anyone could show me how to do it? Maybe a link? I can get the repack from their site. How much of it do I need? It's like 20 bucks I belive.

Not with the Toomey t5s. I don't wanna mess them up.

I'm pretty sure there is just a large snap ring holding the tip on...take it off the screen in the canister will come out. Wrap the fiberglass packing tightly around it, put it back together. Like I said it's pretty simple.

Any packing will do.

The hard part is lining up the core in the front flange. Use a flashlight and have patience, do not force it.

Do one side at a time to see how far it needs to go in. With only the cap off the other side.
