2004LEBanshee Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 Just wondering what the biggest mistake you guys have made was? Wether it be mods or what ever. For me it would have been buying the $800 6 month extention warrenty. Whell still have five to go. But seriouly, did you ever buy something that was junk or what? Quote
Wassup350 Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 My biggest misake with my banshee was riding it in the cold weather and blowing the engine. 1000 bucks later after putting a wiseco crankshaft in it and a new topend and other bs Shee ripps Quote
Screamin_Demon Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 Mine would probably have to be not buying a ratio rite measuring cup from the beginning. I can't remember how many plugs I fouled out at first from too much oil.... but it was probably approaching the 30 dollar mark. Wasn't costly, but still aggrivating to push a banshee 1/2 mile back to the house after fouling out plugs, and fouling out the spares you brought as well. Quote
boonman Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 My biggest mistake was not cleaning the case and crank out after I blew a hole in the piston. Shortly after, the crank let go...... Also, buying a cheapo torque wrench.. Quote
blk02banshee Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 mine is not quad related, but I think it tops them all. I traded in my MINT 1972 chevelle SS, It had a super T-10 trans that previously belonged to dale earnhardt. I traded it in for a 92 chevy z-71. I kick myself in the ass every day. Quote
Big Blue Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 not buying a banshee in the first place. Quote
BenBB Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 Amen Big Blue. My biggest mistake was chasing women (well trying to) instead of a racing career...I was 15 when the '87 Banshee came out, if I woulda got one then, assuming I didn't kill myself on it, I could be running the Open Pro TT & ST, Pike's Peak circuit and Pont de Veaux right now. Regret is a bitch, but testosterone does that to ya... Quote
Ultimateduner Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 Mine was going to fast and flying off a dune. Quote

kenr74 Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 My biggest mistake was not cleaning the case and crank out after I blew a hole in the piston. Shortly after, the crank let go...... Also, buying a cheapo torque wrench.. Same here. Rookie mistake but an expensive one. Quote

Cotton eyed Joe Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 Mine was going to fast and flying off a dune. Amen. Mine too. Quote
XTShee Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 Not quad related but, While water skiing, deciding that using the anchored boats in the harbor as a slalom course would be a good idea, Then after getting bored of that, deciding to touch them with your arm as you whizzed past. 1 spleen, 3 broken ribs, collapsed lungs, bruised kidneys, seven blood transfusions and 3 months later you think maybe that wasn't such a fun idea.
