Help finding a new 300W High Output Stator for the Yamaha Banshee

Recommended Posts

Can you guys tell me the name of the company that offers a 300W High Output Stator for the 95-06 Yamaha Banshee? I looked at new 300W Stator a few years ago and I thought the brand of it was "Lightning Stator" if I remember correctly it was blue and fairly expensive, but now that I looking to buy one I can't find one anywhere!

I know what your thinking..... Why do you need a 300W Stator? Well I'm in the middle of building a big trail motor for a recreational rider and racer to play on and right now would be the best time to upgrade while I have it down. I'm also looking into having a custom MX/XC long travel frame built that I designed that has the 2009+ YFZ-450R Frame/Suspension Geonetry. It's also setup and designed to have enough clearance between the back of a aluminum oversize radiator and front of the steering stem to mount a 7" 12V Thin-Line Radiator Fan to aid in keeping operating temps as low as possible.

I also want to do a HID Headlight Upgrade and I run a rear tail/brake light. I also thought the full Dynatek-FS Programmable Digital Ignition System I run would benefit from this as well.

Any input and help would be very much appreciated.

I'll chime in if I may......

#1 - Stop listing at nauseam the intimate details of your complete fantasy build In every post.

#2 - The DynaFS ignition is known to have reliability issues. Not as bad as Ricky Stator crap....but still some issues.

#3 - Embrace LED lights.

#4 - A fan? Look....that's just stupid. But you are 100% sold on needing it......the collective Banshee society disagrees....but whatever.

Look...it's your idea. Stop talking about it and just fucking build it. Put the damn fan in front as a pusher style. It will make servicing easier and when you find out it doesn't do shit, it will be easy to remove.

#5 - If you want to by a stator. Call Evan at RaceTech. If he doesn't have what you need, then start dreaming your next solution.

#6 - In closing. .....just go get a YFZ450R with a built Raptor 700 motor in it and quit wasting your time. The fantasy unicorn bike you keep talking about would take 2 years to get completed if you actually started today, would cost $30, 000+, and need another whole season of changes and adjustments to get right.

Then one mild crash and you would be waiting forever to get new parts.

There! Bladders empty.....Now enjoy those Cheerios.

Dont mind john, hes just a peice of shit. If its not hes idea, its dumb as fuck.

Says the guy too dumb to stop a simple fuel valve leak. Also too dumb to notice people trolling him with TORS advice, sending him on a wild goose chase.

Windy you truly are a ass hole, you don't know what I'm capable of building or the connections I have that I can get stuff built through for free. I try not to ask for something that I can buy or easily be obtained. I'm not going on about a dream build, it's happening, and I'm sure you've heard me say this before about a million times because some jack ass prompts me to every time I'm on here but I trail ride this bike. It's not a straight line drag queen.

A electric fan would be a great option to have, the cooler you can keep the engines operating temps the better the engine will perform and the longer it will live. Oh, your right engine life, efficacy, and performance don't matter, who in hell cares about that? If you want a 4-Stroke go buy one but don't try to push it on me. Since when did trying to improve something or come up with a new idea become a bad thing? Isn't that the point of a forum, or is it just a place for Windy to talk bull shit for his own amusement?

I have a lot more I'd like to say but fuck it, if you don't like me and you don't have anything useful or helpful to add to the topic go take a seat beside Zilla Strickland and keep your mouth shut!

I'm just saying......your asking a stator question.

Why do you have to ENDLESSLY mention every other idea the bike will have? IN EVERY POST?

Guess what?....I ride hard core trails too.

You are not doing anything rare!

The only thing rare is the amount of attention you think people are paying to your dream quad.

(until pipe #1 is bent and welded to pipe #2 it is a pipe dream)

Plan whatever.....it's your money/time.

But why list every little idea you have come up with.

While you mention it.....YOU ARE THE GUY ASKING ABOUT WHO TO USE TO BUILD THIS UNICORN!

So...by all means....feel free to LIST the names of the mystery people who you claim are resources you have to make this happen. Because SO FAR you are openly asking for input on ALL the major components.

Steven, he won't understand what you just said.......because you failed to mention your custom frame, suspension, shocks, CDI, tires, seat cover, headlights and plans for a tail light.

Obviously you have to mention it in every reply for people to understand the full gravity of the question or answer provided.

I was only trying to be thorough and provide everyone with all the information needed to give me good information. If I hadn't stated why I wanted a 300W High Output Stator the first twenty replys would have been "What are you running that could possibly require a 300W Stator?" I guess you prefer the members that don't give the information needed to give them a accurate answer, for example "What size jets should I have in my carbs?"

I've only got two active threads on here the custom frame builder thread and the 300W stator thread. So I don't know why your saying I have a bunch of threads posted that are going over and saying the same thing? Yes I mentioned the frame and the motor thats being built to give the members that are trying to help me a little back ground.

If you could simply post a link to the 300W Stator I've seen that I can't find now the thread will be finished. I don't know what I've done to you that makes you feel like you need to bust my balls and make fun of me?

Well a basic google search comes up with RMStator selling a "300 watt" unit.

I wouldn't by it but.....whatever.

The SMART MOVE is get a RaceTech 200 watt unit set up for D/C. Then run a small battery (like has been mentioned already) But for some reason you are dead set on doing it only ONE WAY.

So........maybe next time instead of listing your frame and suspension porn in a Stator question.....you could list the actual planned DRAW on the system.

Oh, and high watt stators don't help your dynaFS ignition. The extra watts are in the lighting leg. NOT the ignition coil.

And Steven (who actually HAD a DM and tried a fan) already stated that it doesn't work. So.......do you really want input/freeback from members?

Or just validation and admiration for your ideas?
