tdod101 Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 Why is it going past, just put on a new clutch cable but it was doing this before with the old one. Any thoughts ? Lever pulled all the way in Quote
BUILDER Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 The adjustment that sets that is in the middle of the clutch when you pull the cover off. You can fix that by adjusting it but it is not really that big of a deal as long as the clutch has enough adjustment up on the perch Quote
tdod101 Posted July 24, 2014 Author Report Posted July 24, 2014 The perch is screwed all the way in with an 1/8 " of play Quote
m671054 Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 Who cares where it is lever pulled in. Arrows line up with slack in cable and thumb pressure on actuator arm. Adjust till it lines up with internal adjuster. Set perch adjuster for free play Quote
Banman1122 Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 The internal adjuster should have a hair of free play ensuring the clutch in fully engaged. Then you take up the slack on the perch until the marks line up to ensure a full disengage. If after that it's still goin past the marks your perch is pulling the cable too far. tdod101 Posted July 24, 2014 Author Report Posted July 24, 2014 Ah I see, so take cover off and adjust by the screw that's on the outside of the pressure plate. Till the arm lines up with the arrow on the case than it's perfect. Alrighty thanks Quote
trickedcarbine Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 ^ sort of figured it out, eh? 1 Quote

WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 this is not correct It's close enough. If he has a manual he'll figure it out when he's elbow deep in it. Or you could type it out correctly. Quote
