Hello All,  So my Banshee got hit by another vehicle while it was parked on the edge of camp.  Didn't seem bad at first glance, but once I got it back in the garage and took the junked bumper off,  I noticed that the frame up front got slightly tweaked from the hit.  Does anyone know any shops in the Los Angeles area that can straighten a bent frame?  It doesn't look all that bad.  I'd hate to have to get a new frame and junk this one because of it.

I thought about that, but I haven't seen any pre-2002 California frames for sale here. Mine has a green sticker registration here in Cali.  Post-2002 Banshees all got red stickers.  As I ride year-round, I need to keep my green sticker.  I've spoken to our DMV several times, but they won't give me a straight answer as to whether an out-of-state pre-2002 frame will get green or red stickered.  I don't want to go that route unless I'm sure about what will happen with the registration.  That only leaves me with repair, unless stumble upon a Cali frame from the right year for sale (am still looking, of course).

Lotta guys havin to deal with the fucked up paperwork. The easiest way to "stay legal" is to keep your stuff numbered. They aren't stolen or shady. Hell, replacement frames from yamaha don't have any paperwork or a vin. So technically they wouldn't be legal in some states.

With replacement frames you need to fill out the paperwork and bring reciept plus old frame. The will affix a new vin tag to the replacement frame

the OEM frame i had a while back straight from yamaha had no vin, no attached vin, no spot where a vins ever was at..

are all the a-arm mounting points on your frame where they should be? pics of the tweak

It doesn't seem like it, no.  The a-arm mounting points on one side now look like they are slightly higher and to the rear in relation to the other side (between 1/4" - 1/2", I would say).  Based on the damage to the bumper, that was the direction of the blow that it took.  When looking at it head on, one side looks like it's sitting a little lower than the other.  It's only really noticeable when it's sitting on a smooth, level surface.  I didn't notice it when we were out in the sand.  I'll get some pics up a.s.a.p.
