hercalmighty Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 Hey guys. Just looking for some opinions on what everyone runs for ride height. I just got Elka 3s all around and trying to setthe ride height. I ride mostly mx and xc. Thanks Quote
trickedcarbine Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 Whatever height you pick, get it set up so the main part of the frame is level with the ground. Loads easier to dial in a chassis that way and traction is way easier to find. 1 Quote
hercalmighty Posted April 13, 2014 Author Report Posted April 13, 2014 Thanks. Maybe I should have phrased the question different. Can some of the mx/xc guys tell me what they are running for ride height? Quote
nastyracing Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Mx set up I like to run around 10 n half inches at bottom of frame by foot pegs to the ground some go lower... But it's a banshee and doesn't feel good when u burry pegs in dirt landing . Quote
87sheerips Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 I dont know where Im at but I used to run 20's in the rear and the bottom of my frame is WIPED OUT! Quote
nastyracing Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 I have serious shock work only the best axis all the way around 550lbs main spring 1300lbs secondary spring on rear. You must have 850-1000 lbs main spring on that rear shock if your not slamming pegs. Bottom my frames wiped Quote
87sheerips Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 Need some shock work son.... Still pretty fresh from matt-0. I am 200lbs landing flat a lot of the time. Quote
