Newcs222 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 I'm trying to change the axle bearings. I have a 1987 shee with some funky axle nuts. I've tried smashing them with a hammer and screw driver but no luck. Is there a special wrench for these nuts? I've looked on ebay but can't find anything. Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Ahh, we'll need to see pics of your nuts... Quote

Nightmare Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 I use a pipe wrench is what i use. Those look like beat up stockers. Quote
Zillaguy Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 Heat them with a torch, Mapp gas will work fine... Then turn them with a pipe wrech, turn the outer one first.. There is a special wrench for those, it's called a "spanner wrench". 1 Quote

WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 If you're not re-using them (I wouldn't) Just sawzall 3/4 of the way thru them. Then put the heat and wrenches to it. 1 Quote
