I'm trying to change the axle bearings. I have a 1987 shee with some funky axle nuts. I've tried smashing them with a hammer and screw driver but no luck. Is there a special wrench for these nuts? I've looked on ebay but can't find anything.

Heat them with a torch, Mapp gas will work fine... Then turn them with a pipe wrech, turn the outer one first.. There is a special wrench for those, it's called a "spanner wrench".

If you're not re-using them (I wouldn't) Just sawzall 3/4 of the way thru them. Then put the heat and wrenches to it.
