Klotz Posted November 11, 2003 Report Share Posted November 11, 2003 ok i have a banshee....lots of mods (BELOW) i have to change my tranny oil soon and i bought yama lube....when i got home i relized it was 4 stroke....i got thinking..obveously the banshee is 2 stroke but 2 stroke oil lubes the tranny and 4 stroke lubes the clutch tranny gears...and what not....so i asked around and ppl said if ne thing if i used the 4-stroke it would be better!!!! Oilsmoke Posted November 11, 2003 Report Share Posted November 11, 2003 Hey Klotz Castrol GTX is fine for your tranny. SO is any 4 cycle fourstroke motor oil. Just keep it clean. change it offen. I been using motor oil in my trannys for 30 years. 2 cycle oil is for Premixing or oil injection motors The reason is to oil the Piston rings and rod & crank bearings all the other stuff is lubed by the tranny oil.
