JCSO605 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 Yes does anyone have a 10 mil dm that has not been ported? Just wondering what hp one would make. Quote
JCSO605 Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 Lol dang guess I'm just gonna have to Turbo this cub. Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 It ought to be tricky getting the jetting right Quote
JCSO605 Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 Lol I'm not going with the turbo. It will be the 10 mil dm. I was just wanting to know some hp numbers without porting. It will also be ran on gas. Quote
wayne_smith97 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 I can't give you those answers bud but I know a few on here can Quote
BANSHEE HP Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 Dm cylinders don't come like cubs where they are ready to run with the ports cp casts. They have to be ported. Quote
JCSO605 Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 Thanks banshee hp. The porting prices higher for the dm. Usually 300 to 350 for drag porting on a cub? You know any hp numbers on these motors on gas? Thanks for the input guys. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 A ported 10mm DM on race gas with 39PWK and big bore Shearer in-frames will make 125hp pretty easily. You need to have the motor ported for maximum performance. Quote
JCSO605 Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 Thanks loco gato. That's what I'm looking for on gas. Quote
JCSO605 Posted January 1, 2014 Author Report Posted January 1, 2014 K&T will probably be my choice thanks for the info everyone. Quote
J-Madd Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014
Your gonna need case work too. Precision Powersports is turning 1 of my 10 mil Cubs into a small block Twister.
Quote
JCSO605 Posted January 2, 2014 Author Report Posted January 2, 2014 Yeah I got trenched cases need the top case work for the dm. Got a billet crank and 39 pwks to go with it:) Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Precision Powersports has some very fast running bikes. I would not hesitate to have them do motor work. Quote
