4psnu Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 The honda thumb throttle actually has a shorter throw than a stock banshee one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
NYUK Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 different leverage point, they work well with 38mm tmx and 39mm pwk, sometimes grinding is needed, but not always. Quote
RadarRacing Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 They work for bigger carbs than 39 even. Got one that pulls 41mm open but had to be ground. I had a chariot and it was better than the honda by a mile but the hondas are cheap. Quote
Man-O-Steele Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 What size carbs Lil Timmy? 33pwk sir. Quote
dave5.0 Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 33pwk sir. Jus widdle baby ones then... Quote
Banshee SE Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 I'll use one but mine is from 07 trx450er. Let see how it works. Quote
Banshee SE Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 Anybody using this on? Any feedback? Quote
Burke Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 450R & some 400EX throttles have the same part number. I put my stock throttle from my 08 450ER on a friends Banshee when I went to a twist throttle and he said it was night & day with just stock carbs Quote
Man-O-Steele Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 Had this happen today. I'm thinking the cable was rubbing somewhere in the housing. Its was a pretty clean break. It broke about 1/4" from the ball where it hooks up in the housing. For you guys that have already done this mod it might be worth checking out. Quote

Gotta grease the pivot so it spins freely where it fits into the lever. Quote
Man-O-Steele Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 ive got to do a little more investigation. that cable didnt have more than 20hrs on it and everything was cleaned and greased. i think the end that was on the cable wasnt the right one for that style of thottle. Quote
