Honda thumb throttle

I just got mine on the bike

 

I haven't riden it yet. But just already I can tell its 1000x more comfortable. I had to dremel a little inside the throttle to knock down the stop. But it is just all around better. I had a stock, extended, lighter springs, it never helped. I think it's just the location. So anyone that has thought about doing it, just go for it. I paid 15 shipped for a 400ex throttle housing.

All I have to go by is what I have done with a stock. And like I said, way easier. I know 110% that this will help me since I broke my wrist.

Thinking about doing this, so the stock throttle cable works fine also? all you had to do was dremel the stop down? and Is that a banshee thumb lever or 400ex thumb lever? thanks.

Yup. Just double check it opens your carbs all the way. I have 35 pwk and it opens them all the way.

most important is to mill the fuckin honda logo off the top.

 

i used one from a 450r. no mods needed to open 34pjs.

couple that 400EX throttle with a lever from a TRX90 and you have the ultimate thumb throttle for comfort

Running one too. I don't think its a matter of being easier to push. I think its the location. Seems a lot more comfortable.
