chads300 Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 Just got another banshee. The bike has CPI inframes um nerf bars extended a arams kn filter. Bike will start second kick when cold but it will not rev up at all. And the left cylinder pops and that's all that happens. Has tors eliminator kit also. Any help is appreciated Quote

And I have a slight update I took to plug caps off and it will hit on both cylinders at higher rooms and it still has a pop to it with a flame. Tried moving it and soon as you start letting the clutch out it falls on its face Quote

Starwriter Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 1st things to do to any new to you bike. Compression test, leakdown test, new plugs, clean carbs and filters. If that doesn't make it run right, move on to check plug cap resistance, pickup coil gap, reeds, etc. There are also the user created problems. Carb bowls swapped, slides swapped, missing choke tube. uman1030 Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 Brothers bike had similar symptom and parking brake was removed. after banging our heads for a while trying about everything we were sure it was electrical and we ended up cutting the parking brake wire right by cdi and it cured it. apparently it was grounding some where on the chassis. if i recall it was a green/white stripe wire but i could be mistaken its been a while.
