Putting my cases back together and the back right side (if your looking from back to front ) is not sealing all the way . What could be my issue , crank moves fine and same with the trans . Should the top case seat all the way when just putting it on the bottom end or do you have to torque the bolts on the bottom down first? Thanks

Are they a set of matching cases? On the rear of the cases, there should be matching engraved numbers and letters. When you say, "not sealing", do you mean there is a visible gap at the case split? If so, assemble the cases empty and see if there's still a gap.

Stock crank or aftermarket

i think what he is getting at is the stock crank has pins on the bearings that have to in the right spot for the cases to close.

Like said, the pins that stick out of the stock bearings are probably in the wrong location. I busted some crank bearings torqueing down the cases like that. Didn't realize the bearings had moved during assembly.

Those pins should be rested in the grooves on the case half edge. If they are up or down or not parallel to the case they will dig into the cases then break stuff.

cant recall ever seeing id marks to pair up cases. possibly youve only dealt with ones that have been to builders and they mark them?

There on the rear motor mount on the right and on the bottom right under that. It's very faint. But the numbers should match.
