Cold weather jetting

Probably won't winterized this year so I can go out on the ice, but I'm assuming I should change my main jets , maybe 1 or two sizes up ?

Look at the Mikuni pocket tuner shows 1 size for every 20* drop in temps. Better safe than sorry. Might check with others as to possibility of over cooling and cold seizing.

you can cheat it sometimes if you run a air box and no lid,  put the lid on and it can make up for it

Wouldn't imagine you can over cool.... But as far as the cold seizure, yeah lotta two stroke guys get them in the cold. Prevent it with a thorough warm up procedure and good jetting.

Sounds ghetto, But I always took a thin piece of cardboard and covered half my rad or more up every winter. Helped alot!

My advice is - listen your motor.
