I have a 2006 shee looking to upgrade my stock headlights. Noticed that trail tech doesn't offer the torch halogen lights anymore in the stock location. Seems like everything is gearing towards led...so what is everyone running? pics ? And what is the benefit of doing a dc conversion? Thanks.

If you can get a set of mr16 trail tech lights, you can fit them with led bulbs. That way you could use the stock stator for the dc conversion as it won't draw as much as 1 stock bulb

I've run led lights with no dc conversion and no battery straight off the stator and never had issues and the lights I have a bright as hell and both lights pull 1/2 the power of 1 factory light paid 100 bucks for the set.

What's nice about a battery is that you don't get any dimming at idle or when you let off the throttle. You don't need a huge one either, just a small little RC car battery works fine unless you want the lights on when you have the engine off.
