joewest Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 Ok I know DMC 916 are a low mid range pipe and shearer are drag pipes. I'm wondering how DMC 916 would do on a 4 mil dune/play port? Would they have good mid-high?. I'm also wondering do shearer have good mid range? I do a lot of trail riding 3rd/ 4th gear trails and I do a lot of open road riding/ dragging. What should I go with? joewest Posted July 5, 2013 Author Report Posted July 5, 2013 Ok well what are the differences between shearer and CPI? I figured they were about the same pipe. Quote
sheerider11 Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 CPI on that set up.Yeah. These will put you in between the 2 . You'll get som mid and some top. Good luck finding a used set Quote
locogato11283 Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 Ok well what are the differences between shearer and CPI? I figured they were about the same pipe. They're not the same pipe. If I had to bet on it, the CPI will have better low to mid-range on that motor. Quote
Nightmare Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 I'd also go Cpi, I've used them on a trail bike and they've always got my fat ass around just fine:D

Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2

Quote
lms1977 Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 Depending on who ported it the shearers would work great.. I did a set of cyl to the specs shearer told me would work good and cut a set of domes this was for a stock stroke .08 over stock cyl it pulls great down low and runs good on top.. but if your exhaust ports are real high bottom end will suck. Coupelx Posted July 5, 2013 Report Posted July 5, 2013 in MOST cases CPI will have a better front side curve at the SLIGHT loss of a couple peak HP over shearer....the buster became a gearhead... Quote
Spanks906 Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 the buster became a gearhead... Hahahaha, nice reference! Quote
Coupelx Posted July 6, 2013 Report Posted July 6, 2013 Hahahaha I was wondering who would figure it out. Quote
