364rocket Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 well i am thinkin of getting a set of tag2 bars my question is if the bars are 1 1/8" diameter will the thumb throttle and on/off switch still fit around the larger bars?? Quote
H300F Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 I have the Tag T2 bars. They are pro taper, which means means where they mount they are 1 and 1/8th and they taper to reg. 7/8th by the time they get to the handgrips. So yes everything will work, but you will have to buy the mounting kit because they won't fit the stock 7/8" moutning. Quote
ghost Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 tag bars are junk, had 2 sets that the plating flaked off. just went back with a set of renthals. greatest bars ever IMO. Quote
H300F Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 Almost forgot, I have a set of Tag T2 quad race bend bars, used, I will sell them, because I have another set of T2s I am using. Let me know. Quote

I have had my Tag T2 bars for well over a year now and have had NO problems with that. My shee sits outside sometimes, in the back of the truck, wherever. No problems..... You must have either done something wrong, or got a bad set of bars....... Quote
sksummers Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 I have TAG bars on 3 different quads, I'll never go back to regular bars. Plating flaking? The TAG bars are aluminum so any coloring would be anodizing? Can't say that I have ever seen anodizing flake.... Quote
ixkv84u Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 When I thought of fat bars I always thought it would be nice to have a fat bar in your hand. So what is the attractiuon to fattys. Why change the bracket to have fat bars that taper down Thanks Paul Quote

Why change the bracket to have fat bars that taper down Thanks Paul The attraction to the tapered bars is that they flex. This in turn reduces vibration felt to the hands, reduces fatigue, and gives you an overall better ride. if you changed bar dimensions at the grips, you would need all new controls, (that are most likely not available) and I doubt there are even grips available. I love the Tags. Excellent piece.... Quote
Atvrider_96 Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 My freind put tag's on his raptor and they are awsome. That is my next buy. Quote
