  1. New Years bump, this quad has to go, $2250 obo!!!
  2. Made them from an old set of handlebar mounts and some aluminum plate.
  3. Ready to see this quad go to a new owner, price lowered to $2650 firm. That is a SMOKIN DEAL for this quad.
  4. I spent a week down there helping a co-worker work on their house. I agree, it is amazing what you see, and the conditions that still exist there. The money for workers may be good there, the problem is that housing is almost non-existent so you better bring your own place to stay.
  5. Selling the Banshee, lot's of aftermarket parts, pics posted later. This is in amazing condition for an '87. I did a frame up rebuild on it about 6 years ago. The power delivery is almost electric, everyone that rides it absolutely loves the way it runs, strong from the bottom with excellent top end. I'm asking $3200 and am located in Tulsa, OK. 1987 Banshee Chassis: Roll Design D-Arms Ricky Stator style tie rods/ends Works Dual rate front shocks RAD tapered bearing carrier RAD lock nut DG Baja Bumper, Skid plate, Glide plate and Grab bar Ohtsu 250R/400EX tires on '97 gold Banshee rims Red powder coated frame and hubs Cascade red, black, gray and white seat cover ProDesign kill switch ProDesign shifter Fat bars with custom billet mount Cascade throttle and brake master billet covers Cascade billet throttle lever MSR Raptor Clutch lever PEP steering stabilizer Cascade eyeball headlight covers Braided steel rear brake line Stock lower a-arms modified for removeable ball joint Aftermarket bronze a-arm bushings Engine: ProDesign cool head w/19cc domes Awesome mid-range porting FMF Gold Series pipes/silencers Barnett clutch Timing advanced TDR reeds on modified stock cages Keihin 28PWK carbs K+N filter with outerwrap Modified airbox lid Boost bottle There is probably more, will edit as I remember it. Also have a set of sand tires I might include in the deal. You can email me at [email protected] for additional information. I finally got some pics:
  6. A good friend was ripping down a dirt road hit a dog, flipped and rolled the Banshee. He died at the scene. Not sure a helmet would have helped him as he had massive internal injuries as well as head injuries.
  7. Going to Glamis, leaving Friday.
  8. The PWK is referred to as a D slide. The PJ is typically called a flat or oval slide. I've heard of an import knock off of the Keihin's lately, it concerns me that the one ad doesn't reference Keihin, or PWK specifically. I would check to make sure they are the real deal.
  9. We are looking at a mod for the J-arms that includes a reinforcing loop added like the D-arms.
  10. He's still trying to decide how much to charge, there is nearly $90 in ball joints alone. The bottom arm takes alot of work. I will post the amount here when he let's me know.
  11. Thought I would post some pics of the finished product for you guys. What we have is the stock a-arms modified to accept aftermarket ball joints. I found a source for the joints that did not require the spindles to be reamed. My buddy did the fab work, as you can see he is an awesome welder. If you are interested in having this mod done he has all of the jigs to do it.
  12. In my searches last night I found a brand new TRX450 at a buy it now price of $3000. The seller had over 300 feedbacks at 100% positive. Looks like the scamming continues....
  13. I got an email a couple of weeks ago from what appeared to be EBAY wanting to do an "EMAIL security check". It all looked very official but I was suspicious from the onset. I followed the link and the first thing it wanted was my ID and password. The page looked very much like EBAY's but I was suspeicious as the address bar had dissapeared. I looked at the properties of the page and it was not EBAY. I didn't get duped by the phony, and reported it to EBAY but I guarantee more than 1 unsuspecting person has validated the "EMAIL security check" with their ID and password and have most likely had bogus auctions launched under their ID. Just a reminder to everyone, EBAY will NEVER ask for your user ID and password from an email. Here is what the email looked like: Sent: Thursday, November 13, 2003 4:26 PM Subject: Security Test Dear eBay user, As stated in the User Agreement, Section 41.1, we may send you this email. After the multiple frauds registered lately, our company has initiated a study regarding this problem. In this study the company has reached the conclusion that most of the frauds were possible because of the low email service security level . For a best deployment of our further activities (the frauds prevention) our company has decided to test for free the security of the email services that you (our users) use. Hoping you have understood that we are doing all these for your own safety and for the good deployment of the relations between our company and its parteners we suggest you to acces the following form to test your e-mail: http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?TestEmail&bpuser=0 Thank you for your patience in this matter.
