Rotax Raptor Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 What about JDS heel guards? If I could get these to mount up to my round pegs that would be perfect. These are excellent protection to prevent what happened to Jonny. Quote
rubberneck Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 Juanathon, do you need a different model leatt if you wear a chest protector or do not? I need to do some research. Quote
#1JUANstunna Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 Juanathon, do you need a different model leatt if you wear a chest protector or do not? I need to do some research. I don't believe so cuz I saw another guy wearing the same model with a chest protector. This one comes with optional straps to hold it in place but I don't use mine. I zip my leather jacket up over mine to hold it in place instead. Go leatt.com they have a ton of models available. 1 Quote

RagunCajun Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 Nerf bars with heal guards would help too. Slipping off the front of the peg is possible. Quote
BB3 Posted September 10, 2013 Report Posted September 10, 2013 Nerf bars with heal guards would help too. Slipping off the front of the peg is possible. Ive done that before....not fun. Quote

fappy'97 Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 I've done it uphill several times. That's why I had JD build my heel guards. What are heel guards going to have anything to do with a foot slipping off the front of the peg? Quote
RagunCajun Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 I've done it uphill several times. That's why I had JD build my heel guards. I thought heal guards were to prevent injury when slipping off the back of the peg by the heal, nerf bars protect in front and back of the foot peg. Quote
locogato11283 Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Oh I see now you said nerf bars. Good luck getting drag racers to install nerf bars. Heel guards would be a good addition though that I think most drag racers would be ok with. Other than that, pegs with grippy spikes like Richie's pegs will also help keep the foot on the peg. I notice a lot of the drag bikes don't even have grip tape. Just a round bar. Fuck that. Grippy pegs, heel guards and riding boots will greatly increase rider protection. Quote
