x2 bad cap, leak in the system. or just plain old over heating (bad air flow, going to slow, lean jetting, etc...)

Maybe a bad cap, I can compress it. When you say leak in the system should I see it? I can see what looks like some black carbon it the coolant floating around.

Will it push out all the coolant? are you filling the rad to the top and it just pushes out a little? i blew a dome oring and if you rap the throttle you would get a jet of coolant shot out

Just as I thought. You didn't leakdown test it after you put the top end on it. If you would have, you would have known that you have a leaking head gasket before you even fired it. But we didn't find out that the problem started when you did the top end, until 9 posts into this thread.

Your right I should have done a leak down test when I put it back together. I really didn't know what a leak down test was until the other day. I was hoping to have this fixed by the weekend.
