Stock base gasket thickness?

I got close to .030" and most aftermarket gaskets are around .020"

maybe someone else gets different results...

Stock is supposed to be .020" I was told by Tyson... When i was building my 4mill, I needed .020 base gaskets. The K&S gaskets i got were .030, but when torqued they squished to .021.. I disassembled and re-measured the gaskets, just to be sure..

Ive found K&S gaskets to be very inconsistant thru different sets though.

Really?  So they need to be checked before install

Depending on the year the base gaskets vary in thickness and material.  .020" to .030"  some coated metal & some fiber.
