zach45 Posted April 27, 2013 Report Posted April 27, 2013 Is it the one from the head or the one from the clutch case? Quote
trickedcarbine Posted April 28, 2013 Report Posted April 28, 2013 You will see a ton of guys put them in the hose from the radiator to the clutch cover, but it is no where near as accurate as going from the head to the radiator. Quote

monster Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 The upper radiator hose from the head is the hot coolant from the engine. The lower radiator hose is the cooled off coolant from the radiator to water pump. Quote

monster Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 If you put the temp gauge in the top radiator hose it's close to the engine temp. If its in the lower hose its the cooled of coolant from the rad which will be 20 to 40 degrees cooler depending on air flow and air temp so the gauge will be off what ever the temp drop was at the radiator.
