Compression test- 90 psi

I did a compression test just for the heck of it, on my banshee I recently bought and got 93 psi on both cylinders. It runs perfect and pulls hard. Should I be concerned?

I know 125 psi is the desired pressure, but this thing runs great

Is your gauge accurate? I had a harbor freight one that read 60psi on everything

Idk. I hope so, I just bought it from autozone. It's an Actron with 14mm adapter

What's your elevation 125 is good on a stock motor at sea level if your up in the clouds it may be diff.

1,270 ft. I also just read that you are supposed to hold the throttle open while kicking, which I didn't do

best bet is to go to sears and buy a decent compression tester. ive had several gauges that were bad or inconcistent. one of witch i bought brand new from an autoparts store. that paticular gauge read 30ish lbs low. ive had great luck with my craftsman tester. reads within 1-2lbs compared to my father's 2 snapon testers

My Acton wasn't full length like a spark plug and would read lower than my craftsman on every engine.

The craftsman tester is well worth the money. Great piece that should last a long time

Buy a snap on motorcycle tester. Best $120 I ever spent . Had the same problem with the cheap testers and low readings.

Do u test with the throttle full open of closed ?

Install compression tester......hold throttle WIDE OPEN.....then kick.....and CONTINUE to kick until the needle on the gauge stops moving.  That will be your compression.  They say that more than 10% difference is a concern.....however i believe if its more than 5% difference...there something to possibly concerned about.

Closed, i just realized now its supposed to be open throttle. Now I have to wait 2 weeks BC I left my banshee at my house upstate
