banshee#44 Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 So I got a set of Paul turner mids and it's hitting my radiator hoses and my coil is this common?? Also what do you guys run the jetting at?? I ride at around glamis elevation and I'm currently running 285 main 27.5 pilot and 4 pos. on the needle Quote
special06shee Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 Loosen the rad hose from the rad and try to rotate the hose a bit to see if you can achieve the clearance needed Quote
banshee#44 Posted March 22, 2013 Author Report Posted March 22, 2013 Is there any way to relocate the coil? Quote
special06shee Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 Where there is a will, there is a way! Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 As far as jetting, any other mods? Quote

I ride at around glamis elevation and I'm currently running 285 main 27.5 pilot and 4 pos. on the needle I can't believe I still have my Paul Turner installation instructions from the late 90's, LOL! Midrange pipes; 270-280 mains, stock needles in #3 position, stock pilots. We had the High Revs & loved them. They recommended the same as above, but a 280-290 mains. We ran a 280 @ 2,200' & it ran great. Quote
Abe Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 If your wires havent been shortened too much you can put the coil on the other side of the bracket, should have ample clearance then Quote
banshee#44 Posted March 22, 2013 Author Report Posted March 22, 2013 Sweet ! Thanks I really appreciate all the info . Quote
ClayAiken Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 On mine there is a spring over my hose that goes between the pipes. Quote
ClayAiken Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 I can grab a pic later if your interested. Quote
banshee#44 Posted March 23, 2013 Author Report Posted March 23, 2013 I just did that and flipped the coil I got it all ready to . But thanks . Quote
