Override Transmission

Hello,

at first sorry for my bad english. I have seen some good Videos on Youtube and i think i like this override transmission. Very fast shifting. I am street driver and like to have one. Maybee nice for some fast traffic light starts against some cars ... So i have searched for this and see that it gives Dunable and Non-Dunable Override transmissions, dont know what this means. So because i am street driver i need all 6 gears and the gear ratio of the transmission need to be stock. And how are the lifetime of this transmissions? For example 1000km lifetime are not profitable for me (to expensive then).

non duneable means u cant down shift when ur on the gasor high rmps cuase it will mess the gears up. dune able u can

no you shouldnt backload with either, dunable is just a little more forgiving because it has springs to hold the forks in place.

I would go for a stock cut trans. That is as close to a override as you can get and still back load it. Call cam at redline racing for more info on it. He is the best at cutting them.

No way id threw a non for giving 1-6 override in a bike unless it was an asphalt drag bike only.

Then i have read it wrong. Somwhere i think i have read that i am be able to shift down with using the clutch...

If you're looking for an indestructible override you might as well forget it.

 

The closest thing to one is a duneables override, but even those can break.

 

I suggest doing some transmission mods that will aid in shifting while not compromising your shift forks.
