JoeStar85 Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Kevin sells HotRods cranks, not rebuilt "Hotrods" cranks. When I got mine from HJR last year it was shipped in the Original Box from hotrods. Just specify that you want a hotrods crank because he also sells the cheaper cranks (as of last year). Spend the extra money for a better quality crank. Quote
possum Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 ^^ what he said. I seen hotrods and wang in boxes. Hotrods and call it a day and dont look back. Quote
FASTOYS Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Hot Rods gets my vote! Ask Kevin and im sure he will tell you what he sells... Quote
thomas h. Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 My hotrod 4 mill bent the rod. My HJR spec is 4 mill crank is running good. When have webs of a crank ever fail. Kevin will build what ever you want and do it faster and cheaper. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 Faster, cheaper......... A long time ago as a young lass,I learned in business you have 3 options. Good, Fast, Cheap..... Pick two. Now that phrase gets kicked around all the time here. It's for a reason. Quote
thomas h. Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 Good = labor is top notch and only done by him. Fast = he really work late every day to get it done Cheap = lower overhead and he does high volume. Quote
04_blu_shee Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 &That is the exact reason I put up the cash for a Hot Rods crank....Build it right now so you dont have the failure and cost you even more to do the repairnbsp; Garbage !!!!!!The abuse and hours that I've seen hot rods withstand is unimaginable- just pony up now for the hot rods you'll be glad you did "You can go broke saving money" couldn't be more true, most guys find themselves digging deeper to fix what could have been prevented the first time around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 Quote
mopar1rules Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 My vote is for a vitos 4mm long rod crank. Mine has been good so far. Only problem was keyway for water pump gear seemed to be off a little. Had to sand the key to make it fit the keyway. The rods are good tho. Quote
