drizzyB Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 Hi Im new to the forums but not new to banshees or 2 strokes i have had a few 125 bikes and was into that for a while, but i had gotten a banshee about 3 years ago. So heres some info i got the banshee from a family friend that went threw divorce and was in need of money he had all the receipts for the build beside a few for the motor that he "claims" he done. Im in the process in rebuilding the motor and well im curious if it had a stroker crank so far, in the tear down it has checked out with everything he says. But to the point the crank just barley clears the case wich would be the sign of a stroker crank? The flywheel key is permanently on also and it looks like a super clean job. But if you guys could tell me some more signs of a stroker crank that would be great so i can confirm that its a stroker:) p.s. if any one has some 397/66mm jugs that are g2g let me know Quote
Nieskes Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 Put a cylinder piston and head on and measure the stroke. Quote
drizzyB Posted February 14, 2013 Author Report Posted February 14, 2013 Put a cylinder piston and head on and measure the stroke. it should be like 115mm if its a stroker rite ? Quote
Finch Posted February 14, 2013 Report Posted February 14, 2013 if ya have the crank out what numbers are on the rods and on the crank webs? Quote
ric-ross1 Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 if ya have the crank out what numbers are on the rods and on the crank webs? I don't think he wants to split the cases Finch. Quote
Nieskes Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 There is no need to do that, just measure how far the darn piston moves up or down. Quote
