houghkyle Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 What exactly is everyones issue with the boost bottles. I had one on my old 02 banshee that I had for 3 years and never had an issue with it. How much wight do they really add to the intake boots compared to the stock whatever that thing is called? I just sold my YFZ and bought a banshee and was thinking about putting a boost bottle on. Is there a alternative that works better than the boost bottle or should I just stay with the stock? Quote
dirtydownunder Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 whats the point of having something if it does nothing. boost bottle is like a big air ram hood scoop that has no hole in the hood. they can also causing rubber intake to crack, not to mention they look like shit. why kyle, WHY !!!! stock "crossover" pipe is the winning ticket. or get a billet intake if ling ling wants some bling bling. sheerider11 Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 It's not added weight, it's how much they rattle and rip the boots from the vibrations Quote
houghkyle Posted February 4, 2013 Author Report Posted February 4, 2013 LOL! I can't stop laughing at your guys comments. DirtyDownUnder, whats the difference between the stock intakes and the billet? Dont you still have to have the crossover is you have the billets? Just so you all know, I now do not plan to buy a boost bottle. Quote
Starwriter Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 A boost bottle on a Banshee is like a Fart can on a Honda. A boost bottle on a Banshee is like a "cold" air intake on a Honda with a big cone filter mounted right behind the radiator. A boost bottle on a Banshee is like a big gay wing on a Honda. A boost bottle on a Banshee is like unsilenced exhaust on a Vespa. Do they really sell boost bottles in 5 different colors on QVC? Quote
Nightmare Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 A boost bottle is like Sniper exhaust. They claim to do something, but all that happens is your pockets get lighter and your bike slower. I had too. POW:lol: Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
dirtydownunder Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 some of the billet intakes have a built in crossover tube. i have a whiteknuckle billet intake, and that has a built in crossover tube. Quote
oldskool Posted February 4, 2013 Report Posted February 4, 2013 Some billet intakes have no crossover Quote
