No, it will not shift into anything if you keep upshifting. Only to 4th. Cam, I'll probably get in touch with you. You recently did some of my friends trans. Just wanting to make sure it's not something simpler.

Not sure what you mean by false neutral. If you shift to fourth, it will not go in it. It just stays in 3rd.

Third works perfect. The shift lever will come up when you shift to fourth, but it will not engage that gear sometimes.

Oil is changed regular, shift star appears in good shape with clutch adj properly with eccentric screw. No mods done to trans. I need a new cable due to its getting a tad stiff, but it's not stretched unusable. The 4th gear only part is what I'm not getting.

My transmission is giving me trouble shifting into fourth gear. Trail riding it does great. When you are racing it, it's about a 60/40 chance it will not shift into 4th. It is like it is not there. You have to wait it seems about 2 seconds then it will shift into it fine.It does not do this every time you race it though. Clutches are fairly new also. This is the only gear that is a problem. Any help would be great. Thanks
