I just picked up this 02 banshee, and since I've owned it it's been a pain to start and backfires when running but only out of the left pipe. Compression is good, good plugs and fuel..

What could this be? Carbs out of sync is my guess.. haven't had much time to mess with it, so I figured I'd ask here.

Also another idea. But what leads me to believe out of sync carbs is just replaced throttle cable due to it breaking, thought I had em set right but was in a rush. thank you for the suggestion, I will rip into it this weekend.

/\ x2   I used to sync the carbs with using the eye sight technique.  Then I got the sync tool from Jeff to make syncing all the toys easier on our lives (7 snowmobiles and 2 banshees up north).  Talk about being way off and thinking it was close......wow.  Either way it makes everything from setting the idle to mid throttle super super easy and exact.

Little more smoke out the roght carb, air is set right, gotta rip carbs apart anyway. Just changed throttle cable, havent hd time t rip into it, getting into it tomorrow. Stock air setting on those is 1.5 on mikunis if im not correct?

I have same compression on both sides, rebuilding it soon, its at 115. I figured it all out, my coil is starting to go bad. Gonna do topend rebuild and freshen up bottom end as well. I planned on doing all my case seals along with a topend rebuild.
