CAJUN BANSHEE Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Might be a stupid ? But here it is. I went from a +8 swinger to a +12, should I buy a new chain at the length I need or add too it. I do know it would be weaker because of 2 master links but I'm not making more than 120hp if even close. A few opinions please. Quote
SpeedRacer88 Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 got 2 master links on my 1397 busa Quote
2strokes4u Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 I run two master links on my asphalt banshee. Haven't failed me so far. Probably have 95-100 horses. Quote
Rotax Raptor Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 With all the gearing changes I do, I always have at least 2 in my chain. I cut different lengths of small pieces of chain so I always use only 2. Best and most expensive way to go is one. Quote

locogato11283 Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 We run 2-3 in all of ours. It makes for quick gearing changes. You will be fine with 2. Quote
Rotax Raptor Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Now that this is settled, NEXT!!!!!!!!! Quote
ONLY2STROKES Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 yep, same here. i would only ad that be sure to get the right master link for your chain. they vary quite a bit and that can cause problems i would think. Quote
CAJUN BANSHEE Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Posted February 1, 2013 Thanks yall, thats what I was told but I wanted to check with yall first. Also, I have the RDZ chain tensioner that has the one mounting hole in it, I haven't installed it yet but it doesnt look like it will work worth a shit. Have yall used them on yalls drag bikes? Quote
