What is the point of the arched swinger? Are they lighter? When comparing them to a straight round tube swinger they look like they have to be heavier. Do they hook up better? Or are they just stronger? They are cooler looking.

It's looks.

A straight tube swingarm is fine as long as it has some gussets. The ones that just have the round tube butted to the round carrier, but have no strengthening gussets are more towards drag. They can handle some abuse, but the gusseted ones can handle more.

The arched swinger came out to fix the bending problem everyone had with the aero tube style arms. They would bend like a bannana. With the arch most people cant tell when it starts to bend=less customer complaints.

I have run them all. I probably put them through more abuse than anyone here also.

The ONLY swingarm I have not bent is an arched ladder swingarm.

I've bent aero tube, rectangular tube and round tube.

ya and you got a beefy more then average arched swinger

Motherfucking right I did. 14 pounds if I remember correctly.

I value my life, limbs and bike. Even if I was only drag racing, I still wouldn't run skimpy ass parts like some guys do.
