i seriously hope you cleaned that bottom end up and took care of the rust issues.....

Yeah, I took those gears off and hit them with the wire wheel.

Why are the maier plastics a "fail"?

Got the wire harness cleaned up and routed. I have my extended brake lines on. Aligned the front end. Getting closer. Just need a carb now and I can fire it up

Waiting on a new kick gear and spring and a new clutch cable. The original doesn't slide nice. Imagine that. I have to heilcoil two screw holes on the clutch cover. I have to replace the head nuts with acorn nuts to seal the coolant system. I have switch needles in the carb and bump up the main. Just bought a durablue +4 axle. Should put me at 49" wide with stock rims. The original rear carrier is stripped out. Next purchase is a 90 or newer carrier and new seals and bearings.

So I get my supposed +4 durablue axle today. Its the same length as the stock. Now I'm irritated. So I pulled the stock unit off. The bearing was seized onto the shaft. The whole thing was rusty as hell on the inside. Was a pain to get apart without wrecking it. I cleaned it all up. I'm just going to get those 3 1/2 hub extenders and be done with it. No good deals on extended axles right now.
