johnzboy Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 hi guys, 1st post! Just bought a 87 shee for a project! She is all tore down and ready for powder. What do you guys think of a neon orange frame and hubs. I will be doing control arms, stem, swinger and spindles in blue. The body will be maier white or carbon white. Wheel will be hypers with blue or orange rings.... what do you think? Quote
Mootsman Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 That is a very high contrast color scheme. I personally would tend to go with a frame color that is more neutral. That way, if you decide to change the color scheme up, you don't necessarily have to change the frame color-which of course is the hardest part to redo. If you are really wanting to use blue, a blue frame would give you more options. Quote
ban99 Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 X2, I would use the bright orange on the smaller parts and sparingly at that. Too much of a strong color like that will drown out the rest of your bike I.M.O. Quote
Glenyboy Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 I'm sure somebody has an orange frame with White carbon plastics, take a look back as I don't think it was that long ago Quote
vulvafan537240 Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 sounds like a good scheme to me. if you wanted to change the plastics later on, you could go with black or silver and look just as good. white carbon sounds bad ass though. Quote
Bad one ton Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 Man that's going to be a bright bike. I'd do the frame blue. Jmo. The white plastics would look good with the orange and blue though. TON! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
