BLOODRAGE Posted June 4, 2012 Author Report Posted June 4, 2012 ok when ajusting the timing plate where is the zero mark?i used the center of the case, where it splits is that the correct spot? Quote
maskmanLS6 Posted June 4, 2012 Report Posted June 4, 2012 ok when ajusting the timing plate where is the zero mark?i used the center of the case, where it splits is that the correct spot? Yes the seem in the cases is your point indicator, Turn your timing plate until you get the desired amount of timing lined up with the case seem and tighten your plate back down. Be careful that you go the right direction with your plate because most of them go from -10 to +10 . Quote
BLOODRAGE Posted June 4, 2012 Author Report Posted June 4, 2012 thats good news i guess i got it right the first time.i wasnt too sure but after i got it together and tryed it,it ripped so i figured it was the right way.lol Quote
Uf21 Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 So a +4 timing on 98 RON pump gas is safe? Also with the advance timing plate do you need to buy an aftermarket one or the stock one will do? Quote
Tech AS Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 You can do either. If you buy aftermarker definitey go billet! I drilled out my stocker. Quote
xjmav Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 Why billet? Is the cast one much weaker? Quote
Tech AS Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 From what I have heard aftermarket cast units are notorious for breaking. Couple that with the fact that billet units are very inexpensive. If you go aftermarket it makes no sense to not go with a billet plate. But you can just drill out your stocker which is free! Quote
Uf21 Posted February 10, 2013 Report Posted February 10, 2013 If we advance the timing by +2 or +3 will I have to change the jetting? Quote
