  1. Ide like to know more about this myself.
  2. how much for the old ones and what kind of reeds?
  3. Performance will be the same on them but durability will be the big difference. Wiseco and hot rods are both durable products and will give good service under tough conditions.
  4. ide start with a 270 main and needle in the middle clip. depending on what kind of air filter set up your running.
  5. Glad to hear the positive remarks about them, i paid 100.00 for a new set of the forged ones. i plan to run them in a drag ported stock cylinder engine when i get time to build it.
  6. I googled it before i started the topic but wanted to ask on here for some opinions as well. The forged wsm pistons seem to have a decent reputation. Im gonna be running them in a drag ported set of cylinders.
  7. I just bought a set of forged WSM pistons at a good price and im curious how they stack up against wiseco.
  8. Im fixing to send out the cylinders for the machine work, i can't wait
  9. Im hoping for a big gain on the top end, my dune port is a blast but i want more more more!!!!!!
  10. I plan to try a drag port for a while, my dune port is a blast but as always its never enough. The port work on the drag port cylinders is killer. Passion racing is gonna do some machine work on them and Im hoping to get to The sand in about two weeks.
  11. Im gonna give it he'll and see what happens, I've been wanting to try a drag port for a while now.
  12. You Will need to take some measurements from the top of your exhaust port to the top deck of your cylinder And from your transfer port roofs to the top deck of the cylinder. Those measurements can tell you a lot from what Im seeing.
  13. Yea im afraid their gonna be top end monsters, i do plenty of drag racing and dune riding so Im gonna try em out and see. Should they be pretty strong in mid range? I know the bottom end is out of the question but Im hoping for some mid range.
  14. I have some cylinders that are ported pretty heavy and wanted some input on what the characteristics Will be, they have some killer looking work done but the port roof measurements have me a little concerned. The exhaust port roof measures 25.4mm from the cylinder deck. And the transfer ports measure 41.2mm from the cylinder deck. That sounds kinda short to me, could they be over ported for any normal riding?
  15. It measured 1 inch which is 25.4mm from the top of the exhaust port to the top deck of the cylinders. Is high strung meaning a serious drag port?
  16. The measurements on these cylinders were 41.275 mm from the top of the transfer ports to the top of the cylinder and 25.4 mm from the top of the exhaust port to the top of the cylinder. Is this a fairly heavy port job?
  17. What measurement would i get from the top of the ports to the top of the cylinder on an unported cylinder?
  18. So i can run a stock stroke crank with these cylinders, i already have a stock stroke crank and pistons and plan to put it together this weekend.
  19. I measured the distance to the port floors from the top deck of the cylinders and got a measurement of 53.95mm. would that be a stock stroke cylinder measurement?
  20. The port floors are 53.97mm from the top deck of the cylinders. So Im thinkin its good for a stock stroke.
