03DMshee Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 Check all your wiring...sounds like maybe a wire might ground itself out after expansion due to heat...I'd pull harness and inspect.... Doesn't hurt to go over harness and pull tors wiring and e brake wiring out while your at it Quote

forrest411 Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 sounds like ignition to me. Try awapponh out the cdi box. I had one that went bad and the bike would run great for 10 min or so and then run like crap or not run at all. If you have another banshee that runs fine swap the cdi ans see if that does it. Didnt have the park brake unhooked but had the Tors unhooked. And we are running a clean air filter. When we have it int he shop we are starting it with out the air box on it and makes no diff. It has got a little more confusing. We put his coil and stuff back on his bike, with the old plugs and so on. Did not change anything else and hooked up the park brake again. It fired right up and ran like a champ.(WTF) he took it out for a spin and it ran great. BUT...........after 10 min of riding it now runs like a streak of SH_T in the pipe but loads up on the low end and pops out of the left bank. so we have now done a 180 on where the problem is and we have changed nothing. We will get it figured out but damn this is nerve racking! Quote
shakar Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 why not jus leave the parking brake unhooked?? 1 less thing you problem solve later .i had a prob with mines runiing like crap after 20 mins of riding,it was shutting down, not restarting with out pull start. i put a new coil and ding ding. prob solved...dont give up man and goodluck Quote
Dunes98 Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 So I ran into a problem kind of like this, and it turned out to be a bad flywheel, and a sheared woodruff key. Good luck.. Keep us posted. Quote
bansheealec Posted May 17, 2012 Report Posted May 17, 2012 is the needle jet super clean ? i had problems with left cylinder not firing properly, there was a piece of crap blocking the tiny holes in the middle of the jet, might be worth taking it out and making sure, just a thought Quote
bryan b Posted May 24, 2012 Author Report Posted May 24, 2012 Well everyone the problem has either been fixed or just gone away. Here is what we wended up doing. We pulled the carbs back off and went through them making damn sure they were clean as a whistle, then installed a tors delete kit and re-jeted to 27.5 pilot and 290 main. We put new plugs in also and cleaned all the connections on the wiring for grounds and so on. removed the brake switch also and synced carbs We fired it up and adjusted the air fuel screw and it now runs great. So i am not completely sure if it was in the TORS, Carbs or a bad connection but some times its best to just start over. Thanks for everyone's help. its off to Bluff Creek ORV park in Oskaloosa IA this weekend now Quote
