Banshee Price910 Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 Im new to this site and I know its forums about jetting but here's my problem I have a 2002 banshee everything stock except I have full fmf fatties with K&N air filter with no lid. Im at appox. 400 to 500 above sea level. 27.5 on the pilot, clip in the middle, 300 on the main and its still lean on both cylinders. Brand new top end, im not trying to melt it down so can anyone please help? Thanks Quote
Larry's Shee Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 (edited) I would suggest a leakdown test. How lean you talking? Jump to a 320 and try that. BTW, Welcome to BHQ !! Edited April 6, 2012 by Larry's Shee Quote
Banshee Price910 Posted April 6, 2012 Author Report Posted April 6, 2012 Plugs are white, but no popping or losing power. 320 rounds too rich to anyone I ask. Quote
bluebanshee98 Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 i would def do a leak down test. 300 sounds a lil rich with the mods and elevation you are at... ( thats if you have no leaks) did you do a plug chop where u took off the threads of the plug to get the reading? also was it wot for a few seconds then killed it and took the NEW plugs out? Quote
Mustang_Gay81 Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 I have a basic stock rebuild new sleeves 64mm bore forged wisecos,k&n,toomey t5's,chariot reeds, stock carbs and im running 280,stock needles middle clip,32.5 pilots until my 27.5's get here and im in illinois so i think maybe 500 elevation. Id definately check for leaks especially if your plugs are white. For good measure you may want to jump up to a 320 just to see. Quote
ticktock Posted April 6, 2012 Report Posted April 6, 2012 You should be around 27.5/25 pilots on anything that is stock. Mains should be 280, if you are lean at 300 there are issues. @Mustang, with those big pilots does it hesitate from idle? Adam Quote
Banshee Price910 Posted April 6, 2012 Author Report Posted April 6, 2012 I think I do have a air leak cause I tried the 320 today and the plugs are still coming out white. Is there any where I can get the tool to do a leak down test Quote
