willardwright59 Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Im wonderin if i should drop some money on some yfz shocks for my banshee. What will i have to do to make them fit?? Thanks for any help. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Just save your money and buy some shocks meant for the Banshee. The YFZ shocks are too long for stock width arms. Quote
Finch Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 they should fit right up. i wouldnt get them unless they are dirty cheap their better but not too much. Quote
willardwright59 Posted January 30, 2012 Author Report Posted January 30, 2012 200 for all 3 and 120 for just fronts. Good? Or no? Quote
Finch Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 i dunno i was thinking of getting some then ended up buying some works that needed to be rebuilt . after riding with these works id say go aftermarket Quote
Rustynail Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 not everyone has 500 dollars for used works. if you do run YFZ's its best to have +2 a arms...i just got mine in the mail! Quote
#1JUANstunna Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=151216 ^Works Triple rates for a banshee^ Quote
thomas h. Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Don't go Yfz shocks unless you go all the way like Yfz arms conversion and relocated upper shock mount to get proper suspension cycle. My brother did the Yfz conversion and it does work and is cheap but if you don't relocate the upper shock mount or the lower a arm mount your ride hight will be two inches lower and your suspenision will not drop out. I.E. the shocks are at full extenion all the time like the springs need to be softer but then your ride hight will be even lower. Don't get me wrong the full conversion is way better than stock and the ride hight is ok. But real after market is better. The best would be long travel Yfz 450 frame conversion check my gallery for frame conversion pics Quote
Finch Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 i only paid 100 for my dual rates rusty Quote
06specialedition Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Save your money and get some used aftermarket shocks Quote
Glenyboy Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 200 for all 3 and 120 for just fronts. Good? Or no? You can't run the rear, the yfz has a fork end which can't go on the shee. Quote
So Cal Suspension Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 They'll definitely "work", and be better than stock for sure. I wouldn't pay more than $75-$100 for a set, though. You can get aftermarkets for 150-200 easy. Quote
