monstermike1158 Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Hey guys probably a subject thats been beat to death but here it is anyways....setting up a 10mil 456 cub on alky only used for drag racing at the dunes, i understand tz bearings are pretty much the best bearings you can put on a crank but i do not have straight cut gears and to me the way the crank would make side load pressure on that bearing without straight cut gears would cause a bearing failure so long story short do you think that max load bearings on both sides of crank would be strong enough and hold up on this setup? appreciate the input if possible! Josh Z Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 dont run a tz unless you have straight cuts. Quote

monstermike1158 Posted November 23, 2011 Author Report Posted November 23, 2011 Sorry I didn't realize I put 456 twice until after posted it...haha my bad and thanks for the info very very helpful Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 I would definitely run straight cuts on that motor. You're putting a ton of side load on that crank with the power that motor makes. Quote
