Hello, everyone, Just wanted to introduce myself. My Name is Will. I just picked up my first quad. She's a bone stock 03 Banshee. It seems to be in pretty good shape. I've only had it out once on some trails and fire roads. But I havent had a chance to really run it or open it totally up and let her free. So far in the less then two months I had it I've gotten a nice front bumper, an extra set of race cut front fenders, and some used Skat Trak Edge paddles for her, as well as some custom silencer tips a friend made for me to let just a little more sound out.

I look forward to reading and learning more on here as well as seeing what other cool things this site may have to offer. Here are a few pics of her when i got it and what small changes I have made so far. Enjoy! :-)

Very clean bike you have, i can really appreciate a bike that someone has taken care of like that. Very nice!!

Thanks everyone! Yeah it did seem like a fair deal for a clean machine. I know i couldve possibly gotten more for my money. But I think theres a plus to getting one that isnt molested and doesnt have any new or "fresh" work done to it from being ridden hard. Plus I think half the fun is doing mod yourself and getting to know it. I've dumped plenty of money before on dirt bike & dual sports bikes, so i know how it goes lol. I really dont plan on doing too much with this though since id like to keep longevity and reliability. We'll see hahaha. I think it would be nice to keep the stock pipes so i dont lose more bottom end and have them gutted and keep it stealthy!

you may have dumped money into a dirtbike before.....but wait til you see what a banshee's potential is......you'll get the itch. With the banshee and reliability and longevity......our site sponsors have been doing R & D on products for years.....some do the R & D for years before it even hits the market. The fact is if you talk with one of our site sponsors and pick their brain and tell them you want real long reliability and such they will tell you what works and what doesnt.......short version.....they dont sell junk that sucks.

Believe it or not the banshee doesn't loose any bottom end by going to a set of aftermarket pipes. You will jump from the mid 30's to the low 40's (usually) with just a set of pipes and rejetting. With the banshee, one of the biggest bolt on performance gain is a set of pipes. And as for looks.....you can also get most sets of pipes in flat black...

That is very informative! I appreciate the feedback as well. I'll have to check out the site venders/ sponsors. I will most likely be getting into the top end of this thing before too long since it has never been done from the impression I'm under. At least to re- ring it if it isn't too late. But it may be one of the things that if its all off, I may as well send it out and have it all done so i wont have to do it for a while. If the bores are still all round and not worn, then I'll have to think about it. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I'm not sure what the compression is on it, but i know it starts easy and runs great (plugs look good too).

I just got done working on a few 4 stroke bikes that belong to my best friend. Amongst the things i did to them, I un-quorked and re-jetted them. Now I'm in the mood the knock mine out as well lol. If I can find a deal on pipes i cant pass up, then I'll pipe it & jet it sooner then later. I know these things really wake up when that gets done. My dad and some friends used to have a banshees. I've seen the potential of them from stock to alcohol fueled. I plan to stay sensible and simple. I'd also like to ride it a bit before jumping into things too much, as I'm not totally used to the feel of a quad.

On a side note, I was able to pick to pick up some nice used Kenda Dune Runner razor back front wheels yesterday to go with the Skat Trak Edges I picked up on Sunday. So i should be good to go for some sand riding whenever i get a chance to go. Hopefully those will be a decent combination that work well for me. :-)

That sounds like a good time for sure. But its way too far for me to travel at this time. I do have family out there though. I couldnt afford a trip like that right now and i just used a bumch of my vacation days last month on a 10 day Alaskan cruise my wife and I took for our honeymoon. I think the nearest sand or dunes around me may be dumont, but im not sure.
