Infamous039 Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 I purchased a brand new dual pingel for my bike from Inland ATV and they sent me a pingle without the rubber gasket and they still haven't sent me another one yet. Is there an alternate way to make this gasket or substitute it for something else ??? Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Its rubber. If your not in a hurry, wait for it. Simple to make one though. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 how about some gas/oil proof RTV for a temp repair to get you riding til your seals show? Quote
Infamous039 Posted June 7, 2011 Author Report Posted June 7, 2011 I need it for this weekends ride and they said they shipped it over a week ago and I have received nothing. Is this a specific type of rubber they use or something ???? Quote

Is there an alternate way to make this gasket or substitute it for something else ??? I recently had to replace my pingel rubber gasket due to a leak and I just went down to the local ACE Hardware store and found a rubber gasket that had the same size hole and then made my own screw holes. I put a little rtv for a leak proof seal also. Worked like a charm. Quote

I will do that then, I have some Yamabond 4 left so I will use that to seal it, since its gas/oil proof. Quote
Rotax Raptor Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 If your waiting on inland atv to do the right thing, you better do something else. I had a bad experience with them over them sending me the wrong part and not wanting to make it right. Buy that stuff from our sponsors not inland. Quote

I will never purchase anything else from them. I have been calling them and getting now where everyone acts like they dont know what im talking about. I will be leaving them some negative feedback. The one i found was round, but the diameter and hole in the middle was spot on. Just trimmed it up from there and put a thin layer of RTV. Quote
