03banshee20 Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 at around 2500 rpms it vibrates you can feel it if you put your hand on the motor and when you let off it makes a kinda loud vibrating noise. but when you crack it it stops and sounds normal. seems like it didnt do this when i got it. also if im driving it when i go to slow down it makes a noise and i shut the engine off and it still does it. and it didnt do this before. its not the brakes or kickstart leaver. because id always does it holding the kickstart or not. can someone help???????? Larry's Shee Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Need to be a little more descriptive about the sound. Also, if it makes the noise after you "shut the engine off" , it might be evil spirits. Quote

4everwantedbanshee Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 so i am guessing you shut the engine off while riding and while it is still moving it makes a vibrating sound. Is the sound a chatter and you said it comes from the tranny, possibly. Quote
03banshee20 Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 How do your chain rollers look? there all good. it just started all of a sudden making noise. it almost sounds like something is catching on something Quote
Larry's Shee Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) Pull clutch cover, bet something is up with kicker idle gear. Other possibility is bearing on trans shaft. Figured out you were riding, shut eng off, coast to stop Edited April 1, 2011 by Larry's Shee Quote

hnb Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 I lost a motor mount bolt/bolts on one side in the front one time ( can't remember which side ) but anyway that made a terrible clatter/rattle sound about mid throttle and on a deceleration under load because the cse was banging against the frame --- just food for thought ---- check all you motor mount bolts and make sure they are tight Quote
