locogato11283 Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 What kind of riding surface are you on? Quote
Banshee^Gary Posted February 16, 2011 Author Report Posted February 16, 2011 What kind of riding surface are you on? Pretty much the same as you im from about 35-40 mins north of STL haha. Mainly a little of everything. Sandy clay mostly. Gravel roads then clay back trails, dropping into river beds. Like i said i ran Hd's they were good but i wanna try a little bit lighter of a tire. They are about as heavy as my wofes car tire it seems like haha Quote
midlifecrisis Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Welcome bro! Are you more concerned about weight, or rigidity and strength? I run Razrs front and back, they are tough as nails and I have them on ITPs with the reinforcing rings. I found that the holeshots that one of my guys runs, are too soft, and lost rubber too quickly for the money. Youre opening up a can of worms here..........lol. Quote
Banshee^Gary Posted February 18, 2011 Author Report Posted February 18, 2011 mostly weight. I ran the 6 ply hds and they were tough as nails but after riding in my area i just didnt see the need for that heavy duty of a tire. Only a few spots had sharp rocks or stumps and personally i avoid those to just avoid any other kind of damage haha. Most of my riding is open gravel roads or well beaten wood trails. Quote
