jason108 Posted January 24, 2011 Author Report Posted January 24, 2011 did you put the choke tube back on? goes between the carbs. rubber line about 3" long. yes I did ..do you have to unhook the wire that goes to the throttle lever ? Quote
Phelps Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 yes I did ..do you have to unhook the wire that goes to the throttle lever ? easiest way is to just unhook the black box under the gas tank on the left side when sitting on it, however it should have never started without it unplugged, or the wires at the carbs jumped..... Larry's Shee Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 It is possible to get them backwards, but it would be both ,not one. If you put them in the wrong carb , they will be backwards. Quote

jason108 Posted January 24, 2011 Author Report Posted January 24, 2011 how do I tell if they are in wrong ? I don't know whats wrong it will run for a lil bit then go to die but if you pull the choke out for a sec it comes back to life I don't know if I got to high of an octane fuel in it or if it's electrical ?it's a stock motor with 93 mixxed with 110 cam 2 mxxed 50/50 Quote

Is ther eqaul amount of exhaust coming out of both exhaust tips??? It could be that one of your carbs isnt getting enough fuel!! I had that happen to me today.. It would only run with the choke open.. Soon as I took the choke off, my left cylinder stopped fireing and shut down!! It was an easy fix for me. as my jet in the left carb was loose...I tightened the jet up and she runs great.. The smallest things will make these machines run like shit.. Take your time.. go threw everything.. Did you mess with any of the jets or needles??? Quote

bonerific250 Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 When you put your idle screws in did you file the casting down on the carbs so that screws are able to move the slides up and down so you can adjust the idle? Quote
