Larry's Shee Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 Welcome to BHQ Nice looking ride you have there. Odd the P.O. didn't have any info on it. Where you located , might help nail it down. Quote
dragginbody Posted December 31, 2010 Author Report Posted December 31, 2010 I'm in SC the bike came out of NC the guy i got it from didnt build it or really know anything about it. It has a lot of nice billet stuff , cool heads and full wet NOS, runs strong but i would like to know more about the internals w/o tearing it down but probably what I'm gonna end up doing. He said he thinkd its a 4mil but dont know for sure. I have only rode it once and it was missing on the left side so i pulled the carbs and found it had a cracked reed so i replace them and it was still missing on the left side until it warmed up and it started idling fine but would fall on its face if i tried to dump it off the line. I dropped it off at my cousins bike shop and he changed the timimg plate because he said it was cracked and said he took it down the road and it started acting worse then it got where it won't run at all right now. He tried another cdi box and said that didn't change so he tested the stator and it test good. He's now telling me he basically doesnt know what to try without throwing parts onto it hoping one fixes it. So here I am hoping to find a solution searching through the forums! Quote
jbooker82 Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 Do a compression test. Tear the carbs down and clean them. Not trying to be mean, but a machine with a wet no2 system shouldn't really be in the hands of some one who is afraid or doesn't want to tear into the engine. Quote
rdzbangshee Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 i like the t6 pipes must be a detuned dragger Quote

Larry's Shee Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 i like the t6 pipes must be a detuned dragger I wouldn't recognized t-6 if they bit me on the ass. Only thing left electrical is coil , plug boots , switches. My guess is that with wrong pipes it won't run good. Have you checked plugs? Sure NOS isn't leaking fuel? Your cousin must make a killing just throwing parts at a problem Quote
dragginbody Posted January 2, 2011 Author Report Posted January 2, 2011 Checked compression and it has 140lb on both cylinders. So I pulled the carbs and cleaned them dumped the gas and started w some fresh fuel, still no good . Kept checking around and it was a bad connection on the coil cleaned it up shee fired right off and runs like a champ. Quote
